About Robonamix

What is Robonamix?

Robonamix is a technology-education studio for kids and teens in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, running since 2019. We teach young people to build real things with AI — robots, games, apps, and creative projects — instead of just memorizing code. Our home base is a small, deliberately-capped studio in Bahria Town; we also run live online classes and school workshops.

Where is Robonamix located?

Our studio is at Building 8, Civic Center, Bahria Town, Rawalpindi — serving families across Rawalpindi and Islamabad. We also run live online classes for students anywhere, and on-site workshops at partner schools.

How long has Robonamix been running?

Since 2019. Robonamix is the kids-and-schools brand of Gravixar — we've been bringing hands-on, project-based STEM, robotics and AI learning to children across Islamabad and Rawalpindi ever since.

How is Robonamix different from a normal coding class?

A normal coding class drills syntax — semicolons, loops, the exact way to write a line of code. We start one level up: kids decide what they want to build, use AI as a coding partner to write the code, then read it, change it, and wire up the hardware themselves. AI now handles the syntax, so we spend our time on the skill that actually lasts — designing systems and solving problems.

Ages & levels

What age group is Robonamix for?

Ages 8 to 17, in one small mixed group. Everyone works at their own pace and on their own project, so the same room works for an 8-year-old and a 17-year-old. We talk through where your child fits on a quick call.

Will an older teen and a younger child be in the same group?

Yes — they build side by side, but nobody is held to the same project. Once a student has the core idea, they take it as far as they can: a younger child and a teen each leave with something they're genuinely proud of.

My child has no coding or tech background. Can they still join?

Yes — most of our students start with zero background. Because AI handles the raw code, kids build something real in their very first session. No prior experience is required; we start from the basics and progress quickly.

My child already does LEGO robotics or Scratch. Is this a step up, or more of the same?

It is the step up, and it is a specific one: real components instead of bricks. A child who has been snapping LEGO motors together and coding them in blocks already has the thinking — what they have not done is wire a circuit that can actually be wrong. In our Smart Devices work they build on a real breadboard with Arduino and NodeMCU, read a real sensor, and write the firmware that makes something happen because of it. Nothing snaps together for them, so a loose wire is theirs to find. The same applies to Scratch: instead of staying in blocks, they move to reading and changing the code underneath, with AI as the coding partner. How do you keep one group of mixed ages working?

Small groups and a project-led format. We keep just 15 places in the studio, so every child gets real attention — we spark each session with one idea and a live demo, then every student builds at their own pace while a mentor guides.

What we teach (the AI era)

Do you teach AI to kids?

Yes — building with AI is the core of what we do. Students learn to use AI well (and spot when it is wrong), create with AI (art, games, stories, apps), put AI to work through automation, and understand how AI actually works by training simple models. It is hands-on, not a lecture about AI.

Is 'learn to code' still worth it in the age of AI?

Coding still matters, but on its own it is being commoditized by AI tools. What lasts is being a maker rather than just a user: knowing what to build, directing AI to help build it, reading and fixing what it produces, and connecting it to the real world. That is exactly what we teach — coding and robotics are the medium, building-with-AI is the skill.

Do you teach Python? Which programming languages does my child learn?

Yes, your child writes and reads real Python — but the way they get there is the part that matters. Learning to direct AI to write code, then read it, spot what is wrong, and correct it until it works, is now a more useful and far more efficient skill than memorizing syntax by hand. So a child here builds a real project from their first session instead of working through exercises for months before making anything. Python is the language they most often end up reading and changing — it is what the Circuit Playground shows behind their blocks, and what runs on the boards in a Smart Devices build. Depending on the project they also meet Scratch, Godot's GDScript, and the HTML, CSS and JavaScript behind a web app. The language is the medium; being able to build, read and fix real code with AI is the skill.

What will my child actually build?

Real, working projects they choose: a sensor robot, a sound-reactive lamp, a small game, a personal webpage or app, an AI image or animation project, or a simple automation. Each student builds a portfolio of what they made — photos, demo videos, and descriptions. The module catalogue at robonamix.com/modules lists each one: how many sessions it runs, which tools they use, and the finished thing they walk away with.

What does my child make and take home?

A growing portfolio of real projects they choose — a sensor robot, a small game, a webpage or app, an AI art or animation piece — kept as photos, demo videos, and descriptions they can show family and schools. Members also get take-home tasks to keep building between visits.

Do you teach robotics and hardware, or just software?

Both. Many projects end in real hardware — sensors, motors, LEDs, and boards like Arduino and NodeMCU — wired up by hand on a real breadboard. We reframe robotics as 'AI made physical': teaching a robot to see, hear, or react.

What is your teaching method?

Discovery-based and project-led. Every session follows a simple arc: we spark an idea with a concept and a live demo, kids build hands-on while a mentor guides rather than lectures, then everyone shares what they made. Kids learn the key concept, experiment, and find their own way to a working result — which research shows is how the durable thinking skills actually develop.

Joining: taster & membership

How do we start?

Everyone starts with a Rs 3,000 taster — one 3-hour session where your child builds something real and sees if the studio is for them. If they love it, join as a monthly member for Rs 15,000 per month.

Does my child get a certificate?

Yes, when there is something real to certify. We issue a certificate when a child moves up a level, and we issue them on request when a collaborating school needs them for their own records. What we do not do is hand out a certificate for every module — the thing your child takes home is the project itself: a game you can play, a device that beeps when you walk past it, a film you can watch. The portfolio is the proof; the certificate is the paperwork that goes with it.

What happens if my child misses a session?

Nothing is lost — you book them into the next one. Sessions are project-led rather than a fixed syllabus marching forward, so a child picks their build back up where they left it instead of falling behind a class. Tell us on WhatsApp when you know, and we will slot them in.

What is the membership, and what does it include?

Rs 15,000 per month — 4 on-site sessions, 4 online, and 4 reviewed tasks a month, across all four lanes: engineering, code, science and AI art. The four tasks are ones your child completes on their own on our HQ platform between sessions; a mentor reviews each one and either approves it or sends it back with notes on what to improve. All boards, sensors and materials are provided, and your child finishes a real project every month rather than a demo. It continues month to month and you can stop whenever you like.

Do siblings pay full price?

No — each additional child is 30% off the monthly membership. Two siblings are Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,500, and the second child gets their own place, their own project and their own level of the same build.

What is the immersive membership?

Rs 50,000 per month, for a child who wants the studio as their workshop rather than a class. Unlimited studio time Monday to Thursday — but on slots you reserve in advance, weekly or monthly, so their bench and their mentor are genuinely held for them. With only 15 places, a promise of unlimited access is only worth something if the space is actually reserved.

How often can an immersive member come?

As often as you like within our studio hours — any 3 to 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday — on the slots you have booked. Reserving in advance is what guarantees the space is there when your child arrives.

Why is the studio so small?

We keep just 15 places on purpose. Fewer kids means deeper mentoring, real hands-on time, and projects that actually get finished — not a crowded classroom. When we are full, we run a waitlist.

What are your hours?

On-site studio hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm. We also run Saturdays, 11am–1pm — Saturday sessions run by arrangement — confirmed with you in advance, and not every Saturday. Online classes and school workshops are scheduled separately.

My child is at school on weekday mornings. When would they actually attend?

Mostly on Saturdays, and the rest fits around school by design. The Monday-to-Thursday 9am-to-1pm hours are when the studio is open to the public, not when your child is expected — and they are the hours the immersive membership uses. On the monthly membership the four on-site build sessions are usually Saturdays, 11am–1pm, arranged with you in advance. The four online sessions are scheduled with your family rather than fixed to a slot. The four HQ tasks your child does on their own, whenever suits them, and we review each one and send it back if it needs more work. So a school-going child never has to miss a school day to be a full member.

Do you run sessions on the weekend?

Yes — Saturdays, 11am–1pm, which is when most families on the monthly membership do their on-site build. Saturday sessions run by arrangement — confirmed with you in advance, and not every Saturday. Please don't come to the studio on a Saturday without confirming with us first.

Are classes online or in person?

Both. Our main studio is on-site in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. We also run the same curriculum as live, small-group online classes for students who can't attend in person, including families outside Pakistan. Hardware modules start in a free online circuit simulator, so nothing waits on a delivery; inside Pakistan we then ship a kit, and families abroad get a parts list to buy locally.

Pricing & enrollment

How much does it cost?

A Rs 3,000 taster session to start, then Rs 15,000 per month for membership — 4 on-site sessions, 4 online, and 4 reviewed tasks a month, across all four lanes, with a mentor and all equipment included. Each additional sibling is 30% off. For a child who wants the studio as their workshop there is an immersive membership at Rs 50,000 per month: unlimited studio time Monday to Thursday on reserved slots.

Are materials and hardware included in the price?

Yes. All boards, sensors, and materials are provided in the studio — there is no separate hardware fee. Students use real equipment on real builds.

How do we pay, and how is a place confirmed?

A place is confirmed once payment is received — by bank transfer to the Gravixar account (Robonamix is a Gravixar project, so that is the account name you will see). Send us the screenshot on WhatsApp and the place is your child's.

Safety & the AI

Is the AI safe for my child?

Yes. Children use a curriculum-tuned AI through a Robonamix-managed account — there are no personal sign-ups, no email collection, and no exposure to the open internet. A mentor is in the room supervising every session, and the AI runs inside our own studio app rather than as a chat window onto the internet. Photo and video permission is opt-in per student.

Will my child be left alone with an AI chatbot?

No. AI is used as a guided tool inside supervised sessions, alongside a mentor — never as an unsupervised chatbot. The goal is to teach kids to use AI thoughtfully and critically.

What about safety at the studio?

Sessions are supervised by mentors, the group is kept small, and the studio is set up for hands-on work with age-appropriate equipment.

Schools & homeschooling

Do you run workshops for schools?

Yes. We bring AI, robotics, and coding workshops on-site to schools across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, for different grade levels. We provide the equipment and instructors. Contact us to plan a workshop or a term-long program for your school.

Can Robonamix support homeschooling families?

Yes. Our online and on-site classes are a structured way to add hands-on STEM and AI learning to a homeschool curriculum, and we can tailor classes to a family's needs.
